fh v Stoner

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

fh played our latest game in JoltCTFL v Stoner on Sunday night. The first map was Q3W3. We had Killy Aly and me attacking and Vin and Bubs in defence. Everything was going well and we were 4-0 up when Vin completely jinxed us by saying “easy 9-0″ on comms. We immediately lost a cap and never capped again all game. The map finished 4-1.

Q3W3

The next map was CTCTF2 the most annoying map ever invented. Its about 20miles long! We tried to co-ordinate attacks but this proved impossible as when one of us died we usually spawend back at our side of the map and it took a good 2 mins to get back in the opposition base. To cap it all off (pardon the pun) we relaxed in the last 30 seconds allowing Stoner to sneak in for a cap with just 10 seconds left on the clock - oh the joys of cake :)

Jolt Q3CTFL Season 21

Monday, November 6th, 2006

Thankfully we have been accepted into the upcoming season of Jolt Quake 3 Capture the Flag League. Our first game is on Sunday at 8.30 against familiar opposition, the Belgians Dimension X (DX!). The other teams in division 3 include:

  • The LSR-heavy st0ner (minus their powerhouse sn0)
  • Dutch team Last Resort
  • The artists formerly known as Yadegari now known as Grand
  • A European team that I have never seen before called dark Saga (dRs)

This means that we are looking for games to get back into the swing of things.

Went to WCG lan with killy Vin CBS - PPC MP Giblet Pyro etc.. was great set up. We had some great games of q3 including a CTF game with me and vin giblet Jazzy V killy CBS Pyro Dan - killys team won 4-3 due to cheating and stuff. We also had an official fh 2v2 chamionship game on ZTN killy+CBS v Spacey+Vin which me and vin won quite comfortably and a friendly kick around on prodm6 - cant remember who won that. All in all a great day out. I got in the Sunday Tribune about it too :P

The newest member of the greatly extended FH family.

FH is Now Playing Warsow

Saturday, June 10th, 2006

Quake 4 didn’t work out - it was impossible on ISDN, there wasn’t much of a community, it was too hard to get games, and basically it kind of sucked. We’re going to give Warsow a bash with the following line-up confirmed thus far:

killy
Vinnit
dest
cbs
Spacey
Rapp
Nex
Windowlicker
Redemption
Dardoz
Jazzy

Not taking it too seriously but going to give it a try to see how it goes, and hopefully there’ll be enough of us enjoying it to last for a league or two. Welcome to the new members - Redemption and Jazzy are from my UT2k4 Clan (tms), and Dardoz and Windowlicker need no introduction I think. New website - I’ll update all the old news archives. Give us a shout in #fh on Quakenet if you want a game.
