fh v Stoner

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

fh played our latest game in JoltCTFL v Stoner on Sunday night. The first map was Q3W3. We had Killy Aly and me attacking and Vin and Bubs in defence. Everything was going well and we were 4-0 up when Vin completely jinxed us by saying “easy 9-0″ on comms. We immediately lost a cap and never capped again all game. The map finished 4-1.

Q3W3

The next map was CTCTF2 the most annoying map ever invented. Its about 20miles long! We tried to co-ordinate attacks but this proved impossible as when one of us died we usually spawend back at our side of the map and it took a good 2 mins to get back in the opposition base. To cap it all off (pardon the pun) we relaxed in the last 30 seconds allowing Stoner to sneak in for a cap with just 10 seconds left on the clock - oh the joys of cake :)

Jolt League Started

Monday, November 13th, 2006

The Foot tipped us for promotion in his preview.

Predicted End of Season Table:
1st – stoner
2nd – FH
3rd – GRAND
4th – LR
5th – DX
6th - dRs

Tonight we played DX! the old Belgian clan. A rust-driven bad decision on cp5 saw us held to a draw in the dying seconds of the game as we tried to defend a 2-0 lead far too early in the game, but we made up for that in a close game on cp9. Well played to Bubsie of TS fame, who had his first game for FH today.

Jolt Q3CTFL Season 21

Monday, November 6th, 2006

Thankfully we have been accepted into the upcoming season of Jolt Quake 3 Capture the Flag League. Our first game is on Sunday at 8.30 against familiar opposition, the Belgians Dimension X (DX!). The other teams in division 3 include:

  • The LSR-heavy st0ner (minus their powerhouse sn0)
  • Dutch team Last Resort
  • The artists formerly known as Yadegari now known as Grand
  • A European team that I have never seen before called dark Saga (dRs)

This means that we are looking for games to get back into the swing of things.

Does Vin suck? (Vin sucks!)

Apparently Vin was drunk during these games!

Jolt Q3 CTFL Season 21

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

Who would believe that it has now reached Season 21 of the Barrysworld-Jolt leagues? Its a shame that Q3 TDM effectively died out (although some of us would say this is not true, having played against Hungary in the Nations Cup last night - Spacey might oblige with some screenshots). We joined the for the first time in Season 5, six years ago, and I’m glad to see that a few of the oldschool clans still remain.

So I signed us up for Jolt Q3 CTF League - keep your fingers crossed and The Foot might allow us in.
